Emergency workers are psychologically resilient individuals. We tend to stick with our own people when bad things happen. And it's difficult for many of us to seek outside help when the bad gets worse. Whether it's a tragic call, family issues, or depression, for many, it's embarrassing to admit that we are struggling with an issue in our lives. We don't want to be looked down on as weak or dependent, for that would make us appear to be unable to do our job. However, being human, emergency worker or not, we all have areas in our lives that we wrestle with. Sometimes what we are exposed to in the emergency services exacerbates those things that we are dealing with.

Firefighter Ministries offers a myriad of ways that one can find hope and encouragement through those tough times. We offer resources to point you in the right direction or to help guide you in making a decision. We offer you a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen to you. If you decide that you would like to email a chaplain or fellow peer advisor, your information is kept in strictest confidence.

	Online Care Online resources to provide individuals with articles, links, and information regarding different psychological issues such as PTSD, grief, CISD, suicide, etc
	P eer Support/Advisement- If you need encouragement, advisement, or would like to request the services of a peer counselor please email us. Services provided by peer counselors will be kept confidential.
	Resource Center- Brochures, and pamphlets you can order for free or read online.
